Closely integrated systems are critical to any business, to eliminate the duplication of data and unify business processing. Each ERP system has its own individual features and architecture, and so the integration of new solutions should be flexible and allow for different integration scenarios based on the capabilities of the system to be integrated.
Syncron offers two standard adapters; an SAP Adapter and a Lawson Adapter. By using standard adapters you will lower your integration costs, achieve higher performance, gain flexibility, and reduce design time. The adapters allow you to fully integrate your SAP R/3 or Lawson M3 with Syncron solutions.
SAP adapter
The Syncron SAP Adapter adheres to the SAP ABAP serialization rules published by SAP AG. Via a bi-directional integration, it listens for SAP outputs and pushes synchronous customized RFCs, RFC-BAPI, or RFC-IDoc requests to SAP. The Syncron SAP Adapter provides a scalable, high-speed, lightweight solution that runs within a message broker or application server environment, enabling and reusing SAP R/3 modules and BAPIs to be incorporated in the Syncron solution. No modifications or recoding is necessary on the SAP R/3 system.
Lawson/M3 adapter
The Lawson/M3 (Movex) Adapter supports a number of technical interfaces, such as Movex API’s, Movex EDI-enabler, ODBC, XML, text files etc. The Syncron Movex Adapter may combine multiple methods, with the adapter still acting in uniform communication with the central integration platform. This means that the adapter may also handle composite services in the same way as above.
Combine integration scenarios
In all integration scenarios, the full power of the Syncron integration technology may be applied. This means that any required mappings are standard functionality (from any to any format, for example XML, EDIFACT, flat files, ANSI X.12, VDA etc). All integration scenarios can be managed with a combination of integration technologies. This minimizes the need for ERP system modifications, which can be a costly procedure and make your ERP systems more expensive to support or upgrade in the future.
Reference model for process mapping
The message exchange services connect disparate applications to translate and exchange messages between them. These services are grouped in system management, message transform and monitoring. Messages can be transformed using Syncron solutions internal XSL transformer or transformer plug-ins such as IBM’s WebSphere Message Broker. An essential part of the integration functionality is to provide a reference model for mapping based on a hub architecture. The reference model is used for technical validation as well as logical validation of the message and its content. Syncron solutions will log and alert on error and in addition will be able to repair messages and give the possibility to resend them.
Real-time or batch
All integration options are event-driven and support real-time integration, and they are designed for nonintrusive integration. Syncron standard adapters and integration framework allow batch processing with built-in timers.
