Ravago selects Syncron software to support their European supply chain

Ravago, a leading service provider in the global market of plastics, rubbers and chemicals has selected Supply Chain Planner software from Syncron to improve their European inventory management capability.

Ravago will implement the solution at Ravago’s main European distribution centres in Belgium and Germany to support a collaborative inventory planning process. The aim of the implementation is to optimize their inventory investment whilst maintaining or improving service levels.
Ravago has expanded significantly over recent years to meet the challenges of globalisation. In 2007 the company established a Shared Service function to maximise the potential of its global supply chain.
“Improved visibility of global inventories combined with advanced inventory optimisation techniques are key to us. Our vision is a Shared Service function that will help integrate our worldwide supply chain operations, providing greater value to our customers and partners worldwide” says Jan Zeinstra Vice President Shared Service and Supply Chain at Ravago.

Syncron was selected ahead of several other leading vendors because of their proven track record in supporting global inventory management processes, combined with their web-based solution architecture that enables easy deployment across multiple locations and business systems. Syncron’s successful history of working with other industry leading companies in Europe and North America was also a main factor in the decision.

“Companies with an acquisitive strategy often experience inventory management challenges as their supply chain grows in size and complexity,” says Anders Grudén, CEO Syncron. “We are very proud that Ravago has selected Syncron as the best solution for them, and look forward to working together to support their growing business.”
